July 22, 2011 For almost 1 1/2 years, Misty Acres

Farm has been totally powered by

solar energy. Electricity used to

pump well water for our irrigation

system and livestock needs, for

growing seedlings, and for all our

other needs is provided by over

40 solar panels on the southwest

facing roof of one of our barns. In addition to being grown

organically, our produce has a "low carbon footprint."

July 21, 2011 We enjoyed a hot weather

"all veggie" meal of green beans,

spinach, beets, roasted rutabega,

and grilled zucchini.
